

The scanners mentioned here will send files directly to Evernote once scanned. You can set granular permissions for users, and the search ability is pretty good. You could also look at Evernote Business in conjunction with some ScanSnap scanners. It's not our favorite thing to do, but contacting a sales person there should get them a better idea what you need, and work out a reasonable price. There's over a hundred firms, and thousands of offices, so it was quite the contract. There's several types, and they do a really nice job of finding what matches your organization and needs. Any idea on how much LaserFiche is? Didn't see a price on their site. Its the best way to keep the staff moving and records up to date. Has a nice managment system for individualized control of who can do what, and who can see what. Lots of government agencies use it, but corporations do as well.

In a corporate setting, I'd recommend Laserfiche. The latest issue is that after syncing, a whole lot of data is missing from the DB. They even took their phone number off of their website just so that they do "support" via email. We have tried calling support for help several times, but they're useless. We do have near items, but it's not like we're doing it from scratch, it's the incremental sync. We even tried the cloud sync, but it takes upwards of hours just to sync.
